Context

Xcelerate is focused on delivering a new approach to health, fitness, and wellbeing. Its mobile app and growing gym network offer an unparalleled level of access to class-leading experts.

Xcelerate’s key objective was to launch its first members club to engage, inspire and deliver class leading practices to a growing and diverse community.

The Brief

Our task was to take Xcelerate’s essence and translate it into the brand’s first physical environment via a holistic approach looking at layout, aesthetics and function.

We studied the fitness sector to define a look and feel that not only captured Xcelerate’s DNA, but allowed it to stand out in an industry where mediocracy is widespread.

Excellence on a Budget

An affordable interior concept for franchisees to implement was an essential part of the design response. 

Prosper made cost-effective, readily available materials an integral part of the concept, ensuring the design scheme is inherently good value, requiring minimal value engineering.

Materials Palette

Matching up to Member Mindset

The resulting gym is a multi-paced environment that makes a conscious effort to provide areas that aid individual focus and others that inject energy and promote interaction. 

The focussed lighting and dark palette of the free weights area directs attention to the equipment and mirrors, allowing member’s to focus on their performance.  

The dichroic mirrored wall in the studio injects colour and light to invigorate the space and in turn the members as they see themselves immersed in the vibrant spectrum of colour.

The Result

This new gym brand is now brought to life as a tangible, physical environment. Through this creative process, Xcelerate has a robust, stand out gym concept ready for roll-out across the UK. 

Signature components in reception, the fitness studio and brand light box define a unique visual identity that sets Xcelerate apart and raises the bar within the industry.

Prosper looks forward to leading this unique concept into a UK roll-out throughout 2021.
